“Life is a journey -  ever changing
  and so are my paintings.”

“I am painting what moves me,
what I’m interested in, sometimes -
what I’m feeling and dreaming -
and what I remember.”

The series 'Inner Beauty' started with digital photo macros (because  the flowers would not survive the painting process), then the search for the
details of their inner beauty and then the idea was brought to canvas.

The series of 'Hinterland' and 'Together' did start with impressions from travelling on the beach and the Noosa Hinterland. The soft hills of the countryside with its beautiful dams, loosely forested areas and specially the trees which had a long and hard life until fire or draught made them 'Hinterland Icons' created the intense feeling to shape the content.

There was a plan to begin with, but during the process I was quickly directed by the work, answering the needs and discovering solutions.

So the content of most of my abstract paintings is shaped in this way.
