Just a little bit about myself ...

Born in Zurich (Switzerland) 1943, I was instructed to start my education in a so called "normal profession", so I started an apprenticeship in the field of advertising, design and marketing. Painting, photography, scuba-diving and woodworking had to be just "hobbies" during most of my career. 2000, after early retirement and selling my own management and marketing consultancy in Switzerland, I realised my life long dream to emigrate to Australia and settled on the Sunshine Coast with my partner Stefanie. Travelling the USA, Bahamas, Cayman Island, Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia and some of the most beautiful places in Australia have been an absolute inspiration to me. During recent years I have studied the work of several famous artists such as Georgia O'Keeffe, E. John Robertson, USA (famous for his seascapes), and many more artists. I attended workshops with Pamela Cowper 2006 for abstract landscapes, but most of my skills could be considered self-taught and refined over the years. I'm constantly challengend by new impressions and different techniques. I picked up the brush for real again some years ago and started painting professionally and full time in oils, acrylics and mixed media. |
